About the Course

Deep-dive into Cisco Nexus 9000 and 7000 series platforms and NX-OS feature set for enterprise data centers. This course covers vPC (Virtual Port Channel) design, FEX (Fabric Extender) deployments, HSRP/VRRP first-hop redundancy, BFD, Layer 2/3 boundary design, In-Service Software Upgrade (ISSU), and NX-OS Python scripting for automation. All concepts validated against production DC topologies.

By the end of this course, you will have production-ready skills in Cisco Nexus & NX-OS. You will be confident designing, deploying, and troubleshooting real-world enterprise network environments.

• Configure and troubleshoot vPC (Virtual Port Channel) for dual-homed server connectivity

• Deploy Nexus FEX for scalable top-of-rack server access connectivity

• Implement HSRP, VRRP, and BFD for Layer 3 gateway redundancy and fast failover

• Manage NX-OS upgrades using ISSU (In-Service Software Upgrade) without traffic disruption

• Automate Nexus configuration and monitoring using NX-OS Python scripting and NXAPI

Prerequisite:

• CCNP-level knowledge of routing and switching fundamentals

• Experience with Cisco IOS CLI — NX-OS has a different but related syntax
